Mary Kathleen Lee

Mary Kathleen Lee (Casey) aged 91, previously of McCalla. Passed away on 9/30/2021 in Orange Beach, Alabama, where she had lived with her husband Cecil Sr. for 34 years.

Born in Akron, Ohio, Casey was a teenage all-American swimmer, swimming in the Olympic trials of July 1948. After raising her family, she was Assistant Administrator of Plantation Manor Nursing Home in McCalla until her retirement at age 57. Casey loved to entertain friends, have company, and travel. Full of wit and humor plus genuine love for all, Casey made any gathering she attended better because she was there.

She was loved and will be missed by many, including her son: Cecil L. Lee, Jr. and his wife Martha; grandson: John Neal Lee and his wife Tracy; great-granddaughter: Mallory Lee Foster and her husband Jeremy; great-grandson: Chase Lee and fiancé Claire Harrison; and great-grandson: Dylan Lee; as well as her sister: Laurel Mahoney Murray; nieces: Ruthanne Wilkes, Laurel Dowswell, April Alder and Rose Iwamoto, plus many additional friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Cecil L. Lee Sr.; son James Neal Lee, her father James D. Mahoney Sr., and mother Myrtle Osborne Mahoney, brother James D. Mahoney Jr., and sisters Marion Thayer and Margaret Dowswell. Go with God.
