Mary Fisher Eason

Mary Fisher Eason, age 91, of Fairhope, Alabama (formerly of Fleming Island, Florida) went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2024. 

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank; parents, Jimmy & Laura Fisher; daughter, Melody Huntley; son, Timothy James; sister, Bobbie Hilbert; brother, Jim Fisher; son-in-law, Rick Constantini; nephews, Lance Hilbert & Mike Eason.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Lynn Carroll (Charlie) & Nancy Wimbish (Jim); sister-in-law, Beverly Fisher; brother-in-law, Bobby Eason; grandchildren, Tara Burrell (Jason), Trish Thornhill (Mark), Eason Huntley (Robyn), James Wimbish, Angela Piraino (Gianni), Anne Michael Smith (Rick), Mary Williamson; great-grandchildren, Trey, Gray, Chloe, Cody, Malaina, Max, Anna, Huntley, and Gianluca. 

Mary and Frank moved from Wilmington, North Carolina to Jacksonville, Florida with CSX. They were active members of Hibernia Baptist Church in Fleming Island, Florida. Later, Mary was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairhope, Alabama after Frank’s death. 

Mary loved tennis and played for many years. She won a silver medal in the Jacksonville Senior Games. She was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan. She also enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, and gardening. 

Mary graduated from Jacksonville University with honors and was a member of the Nu Phi Mu sorority. She taught school in Duval County for many years. She also taught the GED to adults. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hibernia Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 9am until time of the service. 

Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00am, at Hibernia Baptist Church located at 7100 Highway 17, Fleming Island, FL.

Memorial may be made to Hibernia Baptist Church in Fleming Island, Florida, or the building fund at First Baptist Church in Fairhope, Alabama.
