Martha P. White

Martha P White, age 92, a resident of Little Sisters of the Poor in Mobile, AL passed on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Edwina Putman and her brothers, Freddie and Calvin Putman and her Aunt Arileete Delchamps Rabby. She is survived by her children; Rebecca Amanda Johnson (Terry) Theodore, AL, Marion Weldon Watters (Teresa) Mobile, AL, George Edward Watters (Mary) Silverhill, AL and Eloise Ioda Eggers, Tampa, FL; her grandchildren Tracy Johnson Chastain, Troy Johnson, Christina Watters Mohrman, Muddy Watters, Justin Watters, Evangaline Aulabaugh, Melanie Hill Green, Sara Eggers and Marlena Eggers; and 8 great grandchildren. Martha was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Mobile, AL. She graduated from Murphy High School in 1946. Martha loved to sew and made a career sewing custom drapes, pillows, and bedding. The family would like to thank everyone at Little Sisters of the Poor for the love and excellent care they provided for Martha while she was a resident. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Little Sisters of the Poor. A private family service will be held a later date.
