Martha Ann Fodor

Martha Ann Fodor passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1934, and had just celebrated her 91st birthday.

She lived in Gulf Shores since 1979. She bought a little house for $10,000 and raised her two children, Buddy and Jane Fodor. Her brothers came to add on to that 10x20 house and made it a huge 2 story house. She eventually sold her house and moved to Elberta.

She was a waitress at Ratcliff Restaurant and went on to further her education as a Dental Hygienist. She also made all of Buddy and Jane’s school clothes. She was the hardest working woman known to her family.

She also managed dental offices and worked until she was 86 years. She opened her own quilting shop and taught some of her family how to quilt.

She was preceded in death by her children, Buddy and Jane Fodor, both who battled cancer.

Martha is survived by her niece, Connie Smith Newberry; granddaughter, Katie; three great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.

 Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 1:00pm in Prince of Peace Cemetery.
