Mark Benjamin Reed

Mark Benjamin Reed        January 31, 1951 – September 30, 2019   Mark Benjamin Reed, age 68, a native of Mobile, AL, attended and played baseball at Samford University and graduated from Cumberland School of Law. He was a partner in the law firm of McDermott, Slepain, Windom and Reed. Mark was co-founder of Checkers Drive-Thru Restaurant and also enjoyed many real estate ventures, especially in the Baldwin County area.   Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Kathryn Reed along with his brother, Tim.   He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janice Donaghey Reed; three children, Jillian (Jake) Wallace, Kersten (Ryan) Bowman and Anderson Reed; two granddaughters, Linley Bowman and Rowan Wallace.   Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.
