Marjorie Violet Stablein, age 97, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away on October 3, 2022 after a long illness. A member of the “Greatest Generation,” she was born in Interlachen, FL and at age 18 left to work for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA, helping to build planes used in World War II. She continued in that line of work until her retirement in 1990 from Lockheed Martin in Black Mtn., NC. She then worked for SDX in Asheville and retired a second time in 2002 at age 77. It was then she moved to Fairhope to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Marge loved all of God’s creation, but children and animals were especially close to her heart. She was a loving and devoted mother and a wonderful role model for her only surviving child. To know her was to love her, and she will forever be loved and missed by her family, friends and “fur babies.” She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Moeller; son, Rodney Dale Moeller; daughter, Bonnie Jean Moeller; mother and father, Martha and Ed McConnell; and stepmother, Mae McConnell. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jim Dunlap, as well as many cherished friends. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00pm in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
