Marion Milton Laubenthal

Marion Milton Laubenthal, 77, born June 5, 1941, and longtime resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away April 23, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Marion was a graduate of McGill Catholic High School in 1959 and Spring Hill College in 1964. He retired from Alabama Shipyard/Atlantic Marine in 2008 and was the president of Laubenthal Land and Timber until his death. Marion was a devoted husband to his late wife Alice Laubenthal, father to his three children, LeAna (Brian) Schaffer, Walter (Samantha) Laubenthal, Jennifer (Mike) Walley, and PawPaw to his grandchildren, Megan, Madison, Caden, Chloe, Kaiser, Hannah, and Hailey. An avid outdoorsmen, Marion enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends in Sunflower, AL. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Claire Laubenthal, and brother, Frank Laubenthal. He is survived by his brothers, Tommy (Kay) Laubenthal, Howard (Frances) Laubenthal, sister, Mackie (Jim) Leach, and sister-in-law, Judy Laubenthal. Visitation will be held, Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12:00 pm from the church.
