Marianne Lancaster

It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our sweet friend, Marianne Lancaster. On December 26, 2022, she went home to be with the Lord. Marianne inspired us to be better listeners, to love people, to cook, to travel, to have an opinion, to be a loyal BAMA fan and to care for one another. She will be sincerely missed but remembered fondly for making us her friends. Preceded in death by husband William “Billy” Lancaster; parents, Kurt and Charlotte Roemer, and brother, Joachim Roemer. She is survived by cousins and nephews in Germany; and by in laws, Joe Lancaster and Dolores Lancaster; nieces, and nephews in the U.S. and numerous close friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 S. Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama. Visitation will be at 9:30, service at 10:30 and lunch at 11:30. Committal service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Memorial Park, 5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL, visitation at 11:00, committal at 12:00.
