Maria Antonia Rivera was born on April 28, 1941 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
Maria Antonia Rivera was a teacher and bank teller. Polite, independent and warm, Maria Antonia enjoyed eating out, walks in the mall, garage sales and never passed up a good sweet. She was a dedicated sister, to Nico, Milton, Bery, and Norma. Through many challenges, she raised her daughters, Lissette and Betsy, with love and a strong sense of responsibility. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, José, Javier, Juliana and María. As a lifelong catholic, faith was tremendously important to her. Maria Antonia was fiercely political and spoke her mind often. She enjoyed watching cold case files and passed this habit on to her daughters and granddaughters. Maria Antonia Rivera was committed to her family, above all.
She is survived by her daughter Betsy, son in law, Javier and grandchildren. Her family is eternally grateful for all the love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to (Alz.org). A celebration of her life, will take place in Puerto Rico at a later date.
