Manfred William Klein

Manfred “Fred” William Klein Obituary Manfred “Fred” William Klein, 85, resident of Orange Beach, AL, joined the love of his life, Diane Klein, on September 4, 2023. It is a reunion nearly 12 years in the making, as Fred had some HOA business to finish, and Diane likely needed the break after nearly 50 years of marriage to Fred. Fred was born in Newark, NJ and graduated from Newton High School in 1955. After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated (got out!) from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He retired in 1995 after 38 years with the US Army Missile Command (MICOM), first at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey and finishing at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. In addition to his devotion to his family and his HOA, Fred enjoyed cooking, travel, reading, and crossword puzzles. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ellen “Dina” (Baumhoefner) Klein. He is survived by his son, Andy Klein (Ginger); daughter, Julianne Klein; and two grandchildren, Morgan and Adrian.
