Lynn Tenhundfeld Howard was born in Mobile, Alabama on Jan 12, 1952 to the late Albert and Peggy Tenhundfeld; she departed this life on May 25 at the age of 65. Lynn was from St Mary’s Catholic Parish in Mobile, and attended Toolen and Murphy High Schools. She was a graduate from Auburn University and pledged the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. As a mother and military wife of 42 years, she raised her family in several assignments including Savannah, GA, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Petersburg, VA and Reston, VA. After retirement in 2005, Lynn moved to Daphne, Alabama near her family. She is survived by her husband Major (Ret) Joseph C. Howard and five children: a daughter Teresa (Luis) Rosello of La Paz, Bolivia; a son, Joseph (Teresa) Howard of Deerfield, WI; a son, Nicholas (Robin) Howard of Toronto, Canada; a daughter, Kathleen (Sean) McCartney of Herndon, VA; and a son Robert Howard of San Diego, CA; two brothers: Al Tenhundfeld of Coden, Alabama and Mark Tenhundfeld of Fairhope, Alabama; two sisters: Jan Traeger of Daphne, AL and Cathy Seward of Daphne, AL; and fourteen grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was a member of The Shrine of the Holy Cross and Christ the King Catholic Parishes in Daphne, AL. She was a devoted wife, mother, and mamaw. She was also a volunteer at the Mobile County Metro Jail Chaplain’s Office. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday June 1st at Christ the King Catholic Parish in Daphne, AL; followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King at 11:00-12:00 PM. Interment will be held at 12:30 PM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
