Luther "Wayne" Etheridge

Luther “Wayne” Etheridge, age 71, a resident of Silverhill, AL, passed away Thursday, February 01, 2018. Wayne was born July 20, 1946 in Atlanta GA. He served in the U.S. Army form Jan. 1966 until Feb. 1967. He married his wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen Etheridge, in November, 1966. After the tour of duty, he went to work for Bell South and retired June 30, 2002. He enjoyed coaching Boys Soccer from 1978-1986 and camping with his family. He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen; a son, Donnie, and his wife Christy of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Cathy Frego of Fairhope; two brothers, Larry O’Neal of Jonesboro, GA and Lewis Couch of Braselton, GA; four grandchildren: Lauren and Jesse Fuqua of Loxley, AL, Luke Etheridge of Auburn, AL, Leah Etheridge of Birmingham, AL and Johnny Frego of Fairhope, AL. A Celebration of Luther’s Life will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
