Luther "LD" Donald Wallace

Luther Donald “LD” Wallace, age 82, a resident of Foley, Alabama passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. He grew up in the Lagoon area, worked in the commercial shrimping industry and was a member of the Oyster Bay Baptist Church. LD was a graduate of Foley High School and was inducted into the Foley Athletic Hall of Fame as a four-year football letterman. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran where he served his country for four years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Wallace; daughter, Lisa Wallace; parents, Samuel and Emma Wallace; three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by daughter, Terri Jordan, Foley, AL; brothers, Doug (Jean) Wallace and Johnny (Suzanne) Wallace, Gulf Shores, AL; sisters, Betty (Bob) Pickron, Hoover, AL, Meme (Oscar) Reed, Gulf Shores, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 25, 2020 at Lagoon Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Wallace Cemetery, Gulf Shores. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oyster Bay Baptist Church building fund.
