Louis John Daverede III, 62, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord at 2:50 AM on Sunday, February 13, 2022, surrounded by his family at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. He was born May 31, 1959, to Joyce Daverede and Louis J. Daverede Jr. He was a longtime resident of Chalmette, Louisiana, until 2005 when Hurricane Katrina brought him and his family to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Louis graduated from Holy Cross High School of New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1978. On February 14, 1981, he married Sheri Murphy, and she survives. He then started and operated a successful contracting business for over 30 years. After moving to Gulf Shores, he began a new career as the Homeowner Association Manager of Sunswept Condominium. Louis will be remembered there by many as the friendly guy always willing to lend a helping hand, for his sense of humor, and his “Cajun” accent. Louis was the proudest, most devoted Daddy to his children, and fun-loving Pappy to his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and boating, but most of all spending time with his family. People will always remember his charismatic smile and welcoming personality. He was a God-fearing, hardworking, creative, and talented man who poured his heart and soul into his family. He is survived by his children, Bradley Louis Daverede (Belle) and Brielle Daverede Hart (Kenneth). Also surviving, grandchildren Chapel Jay Daverede and Carday Jo Daverede, father Louis John Daverede Jr., and sister Lois Jay Daverede. Preceding him in death is his mother Joyce Carday Daverede. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Orange Beach United Methodist Church, 28751 Canal Rd, Orange Beach, AL 36561, with service to follow.
