Lorine Brown Cink

April 7, 1938 - August 29, 2021

Lorine, affectionately known as ‘Rene’ by family and friends, passed away on August 29, 2021.

Born and raised in Baldwin County, she married Richard and spent 25 years as a proud Air Force wife, serving in bases across the nation and in Germany.  Rene remained active during their military years as a Family Services volunteer, Red Cross volunteer, hospital volunteer, and CDC Volunteer Director and chapel volunteer, all while raising her family and running the household while Richard was away serving our country. After returning to Fairhope, “Ms. Rene” helped raise many babies, a lot who remember her still.  Before she retired officially, she spent eight years keeping busy working for her friend, Cathy LaSource, at Paradise Cleaners.

She is preceded in death by her grandchild, Maddox “Mel” Burts, her great grandchild, Emily Paige Mayzes; her sisters Pauline Bishop and Corrine “Cokie” Gillespie; her brother Lorenza Brown; and her parents Dempsey and Nolia Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her children Sheila Jones, Rodney Cink, and Sandra (Michael) Godwin; her grandchildren Michael (Caiti) Burts, Ryan (Jessica) Mayzes, Cheyenne Cink, and Hannah, Emily, and Davis Godwin;  and her great grandchildren, Madison Burts, Caidence Habernehl, and Jordan and Olivia Mayzes; her sister Maxine Elliott, her brother Kenneth (Karen) Brown, and many loved nieces and nephews.
