Lester William Chance was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on May 29, 1947, and went to his heavenly home on April 9, 2024.
Les was the youngest of three children who grew up in Hollywood, FL. He worked as an assistant director for Broward County Board of County Commissioners, Streets and Highways division until he retired and became a resident of Daphne, AL where he continued to live his life to the fullest.
Les enjoyed traveling, music, western culture, fine woodwork, fast cars, and most of all dancing. He was a great leader, a perfect partner, a caring friend, and had the most magnetic personality. He was always there for his family and friends no matter what, where, or when.
Les was a devoted son, a steadfast brother, a doting uncle, and a loyal soulmate.
Les was preceded in death by his father Earl Chance, mother Ruth Chance, and brothers Paul Chance and Robert Chance.
Les is survived by his companion Helena Denz, sister-in-law Oakley Mears Chance, and niece Deborah Lynn Chance.
Les knew, loved, and shared the goodness of his life and the potential of what may come.
The family will receive friends from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1:00pm until 2:30pm.
Funeral Services will be held from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:30pm.
