Lee Roy Chappell, Jr.

Lee Roy Chappell, Jr., age, 78, born in Cotton Valley, LA and a resident of Fairhope, AL, after a lengthy illness, he went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. He retired from Exxon Mobile in 2001. He enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends, and spending quality time with his grandsons. Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Chappell, Sr. and Irma Lois Chappell, and son-in-law, Gary Joseph Broussard. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Chinessa Chappell of Fairhope; daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Broussard of Loxley, AL and Stephanie Gonthier (Keith) of Baton Rouge, LA; grandsons, Nick Broussard (Heather), Blake Gonthier, Chad Broussard, Brandon Broussard, Jared Gonthier and Logan Gonthier; sisters, Carolyn Gadbois (Patrick) and Lois Redmon (Bruce) all of Laurel, MS; brother, John Chappell of Jasper, TX and many other relatives and friends. We appreciate all the care and support of Covenant Hospice and from our special friends. A Celebration of Lee Roy’s Life will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
