Obituary-Lawrence Casebolt

  Lawrence (Larry) Casebolt, father to John (Boston, MA), Retta (Atlanta, GA) and Ronnie (Cincinnati, OH), and husband to Mary Ann (deceased), passed away on April 13, 2025. His final moments were spent surrounded by loving family and close friends.

Larry was born and raised in Minford, OH, where he was surrounded by a large family consisting of eleven brothers and sisters. He worked on a ranch in Montana straight out of high school, which inspired a lifelong love of horses, in addition to Native American culture and memorabilia. In fact, he was known as 'the cowboy' while working as an engineer in the telecommunications field because he wore his cowboy boots and hat to work daily.

Larry was also a talented handyman and craftsman. He built many of the homes in which his family resided, and often the furniture and furnishings as well. There was no home emergency that he could not tackle and was often happiest outdoors tending to upkeep of the home and yard.

After making a home for many years in Bellvillle, OH, Mary Ann and Larry moved south, landing in Spanish Cove in 2000. It was there Larry enjoyed trips to the beach, birdwatching, puttering in his workshop, working in the yard, and visits from children and grandchildren (Alex, Rachel and Ryan).

Larry will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He should be remembered for his strong will and dry sense of humor, rather than with sadness at his passing.
