Katrina Lynn "Trina" Reed, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on March 5, 2025, in Miami, Florida, at the age of 37. Born on July 11, 1987, in Queens, New York, Trina brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She earned her high school diploma from Daphne High School in 2007, setting the foundation for a compassionate and dedicated professional career.
Trina served as a Customer Service Representative for the City of Fairhope for the past three years, where her kindness and welcoming demeanor defined her interactions. Those who worked alongside her cherished her infectious sense of humor, which often included a delightful dash of darkness that entertained her colleagues, even during the busiest days.
Trina's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She created countless cherished memories poolside, where laughter and love mingled effortlessly. Every Thanksgiving, she filled her loved ones’ hearts—and stomachs—with her famous collard greens, embodying the warmth of family traditions that she held dear.
She is survived by her precious daughter, Jada Porter, aged 19, and her spirited son, Kingston Reed, aged 9, who will carry forth her legacy of love and laughter. Trina leaves behind her devoted mother, Robyn Polizzi-Sallustro, and her stepfather, William Sallustro, alongside her father, Robert Reed, and stepmother, Jaynee Reed. Her familial bonds extended to her loving sister, Tiffany Northcutt, and brother-in-law, Aaron Northcutt, along with her beloved niece, Kaylee Northcutt, and nephew, Bennett Northcutt. She will also be missed by her brother, Christopher Reed; her nephew, Carter Reed; her niece, Lynnox Reed; and her sister, Faith Reed. Trina's presence will also be felt by her loving grandmother, Calista Pontieri, and her step-grandmother, Maria Sallustro.
Trina is preceded in death by her grandfather, Fred Polizzi, her grandparents Tom and Mary Reed, and Michael Pontieri. Though they have left this earthly world, their love will forever guide and comfort Trina’s family as they navigate the days ahead.
A visitation to honor Trina's memory will be held at Daphne Chapel, located at 27409 US-98, Daphne, AL, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by an additional visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
As we reflect on Trina's life, let us remember her boundless kindness, her ability to make everyone feel at home, and her undeniable zest for life. She leaves a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Rest in peace, dear Trina. You will forever be missed.
