Kathleen Forbes

Kathleen Goodrich Forbes, age 65, of Gulf Shores, AL passed away at Thomas Hospital on Thursday, August 5th, 2021. Kathleen was born January 1st, 1956 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Lois and Ferdinand Goodrich. She graduated from Chapelle Highschool and went on to earn a BS in Dental Hygiene from Louisiana State University. Kathleen loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved deeply and was constantly supporting, helping, and caring for others. Kathleen was an avid (and talented) golfer. She was a member of the Craft Farms Ladies Golf Association and the Baldwin County Ladies Golf Association. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and cooking - which we are all sure to miss. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Edward Forrest Forbes, daughter, Kali den Heijer, son, Gerard Forbes, their spouses Martijn den Heijer and Caitlin Forbes, and her grandchildren Hendrik, Matilda, and Berend den Heijer. Kathleen will be remembered as a wonderful wife, an incomparable mother, and an amazing friend. There will be a Holy Mass at St. Margaret of Scotland on August 14th, 2021 at 12:00 PM with a reception (or as she would call it: a party) to follow in the church banquet hall in the Parish Center.
