Julius Raymond (J.R.) Ellerman, age 83, departed this world and moved on to the eternal promise land on June 15, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Grace Ellerman of Carriere MS. He was also preceded by his two sisters Cleo (Hayward) Saucier of Pascagoula, MS and Joan (Tom) Pendergraft of North Carolina and New Orleans, LA. J.R. attended Spanish Fort First Baptist Church. J.R. served his country within the U.S. Army and National Guard as a Sargent before starting his career of 39 years at Scott Paper Mill (Kimberly Clark) in Mobile, AL. J.R. loved his job and worked a lot of overtime there at the mill. He loved his guys whom he worked around and attended monthly fellowships with them after retirement. Having settled in retirement, he and his wife traveled the country in their motorhome and in most cases with his sister Cleo and her husband traveling in tandem. He had a love for the Smokey Mountains/Pigeon Forge areas of Tennessee. J.R. is survived by his best friend and wife Gloria P. Ellerman, two sons Gerry Dale Ellerman and Raymond Dwayne Ellerman. He moves on leaving behind three grandchildren Vanessa Ellerman, Dylan Ellerman and Justin Ellerman. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on June 17, 2022, at Jubilee Memorial Gardens (27896 State Hwy 181, Daphne, AL). Brother Robert Baker of Spanish Fort First Baptist Church will preside.
