Julie Clarke Irvine Brinson, Age 78, A native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Fairhope, AL passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mrs. Brinson is survived by her husband, Edward Leatherbury Brinson of Fairhope, AL; one daughter, Lucy Brinson (Jay) Watkins of Spanish Fort, AL; two sons, Edward Leatherbury ( Martha) Brinson, Jr. of Nashville, TN and Jared Irvine ( Heather) Brinson of Alpharetta, GA; three brothers, George Richardson Irvine, Jr. of Mobile, AL, Jared Starke (Carol) Irvine of Bethesda, MD and Samuel Oliver Starke (Anne) Irvine of Daphne, AL; six grandchildren, Tucker and Julia Watkins, Adam, Camille, Kira and Scott Brinson, and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Brinson was born and raised in Mobile. She graduated from Bishop Toolen High School and studied at the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. After her marriage, she moved with her husband to Atlanta, where she spent many happy years raising her family and being an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta. She returned with her family to the Mobile Bay area in the 1990s and spent her final years in Fairhope. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday in the St. Lawrence Room from 10:00am until time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Mrs. Brinson’s name to St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
