Julian Dillon passed away peacefully at his home in Foley, AL on November 16, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born on April 3, 1946, in Smithdale, MS, to Julious V. and Nellie Mae (Allred) Dillon. His wife, Elaine Gerald Dillon, a devoted wife for 44 years, predeceased him by only a few days. She passed on November 9, 2021. He was a 1967 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in math. After teaching high school math for a brief time, he was employed by Western Electric and subsequently by Bell South as a cross bar engineer. Upon retirement in 2000, he and Elaine moved to Foley, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald. Survivors include, his brothers, Charles Dillon (Jeweline) of Monticello, MS., Clyde Dillon (Carol) of Smithdale, Ms., Randall Dillon (Louise) of Vicksburg, MS, nieces, Regina Dillon and Renee McMannus, nephews, Stacy Dillon and Robbie Dillon. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, AL. Visitation is set from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A private interment for Julian and Elaine will follow at a later date in Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foley United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
