Joyce Whatley

Joyce Jeannet Brooks Whatley, age 84, a resident of Gulf Shores, AL, passed away October 23, 2023. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved all of her children and grandchildren dearly. She was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Snelgrove; great granddaughter, Mallory Savannah Gage Hughes; and grandsons, Rusty and Cory Mincey. Joyce is survived by her son, Ricky Snelgrove of Eastman, GA; daughters, Lori Humphrey of Gulf Shores, AL, and Patricia Snelgrove Mincey of Eastman, GA; brother, Herman Davis Brooks of AL; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at Stokes Southerland Funeral Home in Eastman, GA, on November 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service.
