Joyce Louise Johnson, age 84, a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, February 20, 2020. She was a member of Spanish Trail Baptist Church, an avid gardener, and a talented seamstress. Joyce was devoted to her family, but her greatest joys were her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wilson and Willardine Sims; husband, Edward W. Johnson and son, James “Jimmy” Johnson. Her survivors include her daughter, Carol Nabors of Spanish Fort; grandchildren, Allison Nabors Jones (Michael) of New Orleans, LA, Kevin Nabors (Alyssa) of Mobile, AL, Melisa Nabors Everett (Chad) of Foley, AL and Jamey Johnson of Ft. Worth, TX; great grandchildren, Caroline Jones, Ethan, Landon and Kayden Everett and Jace Johnson; many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2020, at 11:00 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Serenity Gardens in Atmore, AL, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
