Joyce Dill Antinarella

Joyce Dill Antinarella, 93, a long time resident of Fairhope, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. She was born December 20, 1924 in Olney, Maryland to Dorsey and Erma Dill. She is predeceased by her husband Michael J. Antinarella and son-in-law Chuck Gravat. Mike and Joyce married January 12, 1946 in Silver Springs, Maryland. They moved to Fairhope in 1946 and raised their four children. They were co-owners of Carey & Mike Motor Company in Fairhope for 25 years. Ms. Antinarella worked part-time at the Fairhope Library in the 1960s. She retired from Compass Bank in 1996 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family. Ms. Antinarella is survived by children, Auline (Tod) Gail, Diane Gravat, Michael (Mellessi) Antinarella and Jimmy (Michele) Antinarella all of Fairhope. Grandchildren Cindy Gail, Katharine (Brian) Manley, Jeff (Karen) Reedy, Michelle (Chad) Rains, Brad (Cindy) Gravat, Charles (Candace) Antinarella, John Paul Antinarella and Joseph (Brittany) Antinarella. Greatgrandchildren Cooper Manley, Kendrick Manley, Jackson Reedy, Kane Reedy, Charlie Jones, Sam Jones, James Gravat, Chad Gravat, Emma Grace Rains, Stella Kate Rains, Caleb (Taylor) Antinarella, Carter Antinarella, Austin Antinarella and Annaleise Schneider. Great-greatgrandson Jaxon Michael Antinarella. She is also survived by a sister Charlotte (Wendell) Barnhill, nephew Allen (Jeanette) Barnhill, their children Alex and Erica. Also, Gay (Mark) Davis and their children Preston, Colin & Meagan along with many other nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 8 from 12:30-1:30pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope with a Graveside Service at 2:00pm at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of your choice.
