Joy Reynolds Lenz

LENZ Joy Reynolds Lenz, age 86, a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at home surrounded by her children, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was an active member of Jubilee Baptist Church, P.A.L.S, and a former member of a local Mystic Mardi Gras Society; a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 37 years, Roy Reynolds; her second husband of 21 years, George Lenz; four brothers and one sister. Joy is survived by her daughters, Diane Garza (Fred) of Daphne and  Vicki Shull (Mark) of Gulf Breeze, FL. and son, Robert R. Reynolds, Jr. (Marian) of Daphne; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Slay and Betty Johnson; brother, A.B. Crow; her dear companion, Paul Smith; and her dog, Pepper. A Celebration of Joy’s Life will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. Per Joy’s wishes, friends and family should wear bright colors to celebrate her life.
