Josephine Skelton

Josephine (Pat) K. Skelton died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 1, 2019. The youngest of eleven children of Charles and Johanna Karosich, she is pre-deceased by three brothers and seven sisters, her husband Allyn Ross Skelton Jr and son Allyn Ross Skelton III. Survivors include three daughters Johanna S Haas (Greg), Barbara S Oser (Ken), Ann S Lanier (Harold), daughter-in-law Judith G Skelton, and grandchildren Matthew Haas, Dana Skelton, Allyn Ross Skelton IV, and Cecilia Skelton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Eveleth, Minnesota on December 10, 1920, she attended the University of Minnesota where she received a graduate nursing degree and met her husband Allyn Ross Skelton Jr. The two were married on May 1, 1948 and moved to Mobile. Pat enjoyed golf, bridge, sewing and she was an avid reader. In the eighties she took art lessons and painted for the next 20 years. She was a member of St. Ignatius parish for over sixty years. She most enjoyed being a loving wife, mom, aunt, and grandmother. A funeral mass was held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on May 3, 2019 with Rev. Bry Shields officiating. Interment followed at Catholic Cemetery in Mobile, AL.
