Joseph Francis Wiest

Joseph Francis Wiest, III. Entered Heaven’s Gate on Sunday, December 17, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 14, 1939. Joseph was the beloved Husband of Carol Ann Wiest (nee Gleadall) for 58 Years.  He is also survived by his dearest Sister, Elizabeth Ann Wiest.  He was the adored Father of Caroljo Ann Zimmerman, Sherri Marie Hammer, Joseph Francis Wiest, IV, Linda Ann McCormick and Edward Francis Wiest.  Joseph was blessed with nine Grand-children and six Great-grand-children. Relative and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM, on Friday, January 12, 2018.  Services will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church, located at 711 College Avenue, Daphne, Alabama.  Immediately following the Memorial Service, there will be a luncheon at the Wiest residence located at 14 General Canby Way, Spanish Fort, Alabama to celebrate Joseph’s life. Mr. Wiest was employed by Owens Illinois Company in Bristol, PA. for 30 years and he retired from the ECA Company in Columbiana, Alabama, as the Factory Manager in 2004. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1957.  Joseph was a member of the order of the Moose in Jensen Beach, Florida and the Elks Lodge in Fairhope, Alabama. Mr. Wiest will be buried at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA. His family and friends will miss his humor and jovial outlook on life.
