Joseph Michael Vereen, 63, a resident of Spanish Fort passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Joseph served in the United States Air Force for 23 years. During this time, he encountered Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Following his time in the service, Mr. Vereen dedicated 15 years to AT&T.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Leon Vereen and Edgeline Young; daughter, Jennifer Vereen, and brother, Ricky Vereen.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Marie Vereen; his children: Josh Vereen, Savannah Vereen, and Lacey Davis (Dusty); his step-sons: Keith Woltman and Robert Woltman (Michele); grandchildren: Logan Woltman, Taylor Woltman, Jacob Woltman, Carter Davis, Sawyer Davis, and Hudson Davis; sisters, Brenda Bullard (Steve) and Jackie Stanley.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne Chapel. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Joseph’s name to UAB Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
