Our beloved Father, Joseph William Cavaluzzi of Robertsdale, Al passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born and raised in Elmira, NY the son of the late James V. Cavaluzzi and Margaret Emanuel Cavaluzzi. He moved to Gulf Shores, AL after retiring from the United States Postal Service after 30 years as a Postal Supervisor in Elmira, NY. He proudly served in The United States Army in Korea. He loved sports and especially the NY Yankees baseball team, the NY Giants football team was a close 2nd. He played baseball and was active in sports throughout his life, his participation most recently was in golf and bowling. He was inducted into the ELMIRA US Bowling Conference HALL OF FAME, scored two perfect 300 bowling games, and accomplished a 'Hole in One' on the golf course. He coached his sons and many children in Little League Baseball and youth bowling. He greatly loved God, his children, his grandchildren, and chocolate! He had a great sense of humor and loved to keep everyone laughing. He is adored by his children and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by His wife, Lila Ann Wydro Cavaluzzi who passed away in 1996; siblings, James Cavaluzzi, Richard Cavaluzzi, Grace Rhode, Sally Cuyle, Anna Marie Stuart, Delores (Dee Dee) Cavaluzzi, Anthony Cavaluzzi. He is survived by his children, Cynthia (Mike) Rohan, Big Flats, NY, Sandy (Patrick) Davenport, Fairhope, Al, Joseph M. (Angie) Cavaluzzi, Elmira, NY, Jeffrey (Angela) Cavaluzzi, Elmira, NY, Thomas Cavaluzzi of Robertsdale, AL; grandchildren, Andrea Cavaluzzi, Destin Cribbs, Zachary Cavaluzzi, Joshua Cavaluzzi, Blakeley Davenport, Bianca Cavaluzzi, Logan Davenport, Walker Cavaluzzi, Robert Dickens, Savannah Dickens; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Cavaluzzi, Elmira, NY; sisters, Rita Latarri, Elmira, NY, Sharlene Huntley, Horseheads, NY; many other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Foley. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Elberta, AL.
