**In Loving Memory of Joseph Cardyn**

Joseph Cardyn, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and successful business owner, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Mrs. Margaret N. Aisquith and Joseph V. Cardyn Sr., and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Joseph graduated from Annapolis High School, where he formed lifelong friendships that continued throughout his life.

Joseph and his wife, Barbara, built a thriving business together, working side by side every day with creativity, dedication, and a shared vision. Their partnership was a reflection of their strong personal bond, and together, they created something meaningful. Outside of work, they were passionate adventurers, traveling the world to experience new cultures, cuisines, and places—always with a sense of wonder and joy.

Joseph lived by a simple yet powerful philosophy: "It costs you nothing to be nice." This belief guided his interactions with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

A man of many talents, Joseph had an unforgettable presence. He was a natural storyteller whose "gift for gab" made everyone feel like an old friend. His sharp eye for detail was especially evident in his love for planes—he could effortlessly name the type of aircraft simply by a quick glance or even the sound of the engine.

Joseph’s dedication and skill were also evident during his time in the U.S. Air Force, where he earned both the MAC Maintenance Man of the Year and the MASS Airman of the Year awards—a rare distinction. His Senior Master Sergeant once remarked, "It is very unusual for one man to win both awards." Additionally, Joseph achieved the esteemed title of Flight Engineer, further showcasing his technical expertise and commitment to excellence.

A lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Joseph’s passion for his team was unwavering, and he cheered them on with enthusiasm and loyalty.

Joseph is survived by his cherished wife, Barbara, their children: Joseph Cardyn III, Angela De Leon, Amy St John, Daniel Skiffington, and Laura Cordrey, as well as ten grandchildren who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind his loving sisters: Peggy, Mary, Debbie, and Kitty, whose support was a constant throughout his life. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Margaret N. Aisquith and Joseph V. Cardyn Sr. In addition, he is survived by his beloved dog, Loki, whose companionship brought him joy and comfort.

Joseph’s legacy is one of love, laughter, resilience, and meaningful connections. He will be deeply missed, but his warmth, stories, and love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
