John S. Walsh

John S. Walsh, age 80, a Mobile native and resident of Montrose for 54 years, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021. John attended the McGill Institute and graduated in 1959. He also attended Springhill College and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. John loved his family, hunting, fishing and his Mystic Society of Mobile, which he was a member of for over 55 years. John was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Walsh Millette and his brother Mark Adrian Walsh. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Claiborne Schley Walsh; his daughter, Aleen Walsh Grow; grandson, John Claiborne Momberger; granddaughter, Carson Lynn Momberger, sister, Margarita (Peggy) Walsh Pritchett, brother, Dr. David Guy Walsh, brother, Victor Joseph Walsh, twin brother, Robert Nelo Walsh; 21 nieces and nephews; along with many other loved family members and friends. He was generous and kind to so many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
