John Kent Trione

John Kent Trione, a resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the age of 69.

John was born January 28, 1955, in Mobile, Alabama. John graduated from Fairhope High School, Class of 1973 and later went on to Anthem University where he graduated in 2017. 

Kent's dear wife of 49 years, Kathy Henry Trione, predeceased him in death June 4, 2024. Kent and Kathy loved their pet, dogs, birds, and rabbits. They loved to travel all over the Caribbean and especially Italy to visit Trione family members. Kent was proud of his Italian Heritage and preferred to pronounce his last name like the Italians, (Tree-own-ee). Kent was very gifted with mechanical skills. He enjoyed restoring old boats and cars. Kent worked 45 years for AT&T. He started as a Phone Operator and worked his way up to several Management positions. Kent's final position was the Manager of Network Operations. While working at AT&T, Kent and Kathy owned a Dive Shop, Underwater Works in Daphne. He taught many people how to Scuba Dive and Certified them. Kent loved his wife Kathy dearly. He loved her family and his family. Even though Kent and Kathy never had children, they treated their nephews and nieces like their own children. They were very loved by their families.

Preceding him in death are His father, John AL Trione in 1993 and his mother, Mary Esther Golden Trione in 2020 and his wife, Kathy Henry Trione, June 2024.

John is survived by brother, Ricky Trione and his wife Bonnie Trione of Fairhope; sister, Shelly Trione of Fairhope; sister-in-law, Terry Henry Smith of Fairhope; sister-in-law, Sharon Henry Hunt of Orange Beach; many nieces and nephews, cousins, along with two aunts, two uncles; and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Wolfe Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11:00AM. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior. Interment will follow in Montrose Cemetery.
