John Joseph Svatek, 61, a resident of Daphne passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. John served 8 years in the United States Air Force, 6 of which were spent at the Pentagon. He was devoted to his career as a travelling Registered Nurse, of which his wife travelled with him. He received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, AL. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Svatek; father, Frank Svatek of Brillion, WI; mother and step-father, Sigrid and Gene Burke of Huntsville; son, Jason (Brandy) Svatek of Huntsville; daughter, Katie (Christopher) Dunseith of Huntsville; step-son, Thomas Harris of Chandler, AZ; step-daughters, Nejla Harris of Oklahoma City, OK and Shanon Harris of Manhattan, NY; brother, Yuri (Petra) Burke of Boise, ID; sister, Diana (Jeffery) Trang of Ft. Worth, TX grandchildren, Amille Svatek, Thomas Dunseith, and Ruthie Harris; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of John’s life will be held at noon on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Church of the Apostles in Fairhope located at 7159 McIntyre St. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Robert Seawell will officiate.
