MCDONALD FAIRHOPE, AL. John Daniel McDonald, Age 76, a native of Latham, AL and a resident of Fairhope, AL passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020. Mr. McDonald retired from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department, he was a member of the FOP, Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, he enjoyed blue grass music, gospel music  and was a fan of Fox News. Mr. McDonald is predeceased by his first wife Cheryl McDonald. Survivors include his wife, Margene D. McDonald of Fairhope, AL; his children, James E. McDonald of Robertsdale, AL., Tommy (Mary) McDonald of Foley, AL., Brenda ( Robert) Holland of Robertsdale, AL; Lynn ( Roy) Odom of Fairhope, AL., Donnie Douglas of Floral City, FL., Kenny (Belinda) Douglas of Fairhope, AL; Melissa (Huey) Lester of Summerdale, AL., Alison (Ken) Downing of Lake City, FL; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great- great- grandchildren; Sisters, Mona Lusk of Jacksonville, FL., Eloise Cecka or Rockford, IL and Pam Schultz of Jacksonville, FL; step-mother, Inez Mabrey of Jacksonville, FL; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church at 11:00am. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:00am until time of the service.
