John Terah “Johnny” Carver, born May 4, 1943, died peacefully Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Johnny was born and raised in Bay St. Louis, MS and resided in Fairhope, AL the last four years of his life. He loved to watch old black & white western movies and was an avid fan of John Wayne. Johnny was a man of few words but had kind words for everyone, including funny one-liners. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edith and Warren Carver and his infant brother, Paul. He is survived by his brothers, Warren Carver and Dennis Carver; and his sister Dianne (Dave) Fish. He is also survived by his eleven nieces and nephews, as well as twenty-eight grand nieces and nephews. His personality was reflected in his laughter and permanent smile. Johnny worked over forty years in the family business, Monti-Carver Plumbing Company in Bay St. Louis and never met a pipe he couldn’t fix. Mass and visitation is planned for Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Our Lady of the Gulf in Bay St. Louis. Visitation will be from 9-10am with funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Bay St. Louis. Memorials may be given to the John Wayne Birthplace Museum, 205 S.
