John E. Hodges, 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Johnson City, TN, he spent most of his life on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay in South Alabama. Throughout his life as an entrepreneur, he found great satisfaction in the Cutting Tool Industry, where he was one of the founders of a successful National Cutting Tool Company. One of his favorite pastimes was watching Alabama football.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Michaels (husband Elie) and their children Andrew and Sarah; his son, Jonathan Hodges (wife Kay) and their children Brittany Cordua (husband Josh) and Jonathan Hodges; his son David Hodges; his son Michael Mann (wife Teresa) and their children Austin, Olive, Russell, and Forrest; and his son Jesse Lindsey. He also leaves behind his great-grandchild, Maisyn Cordua; his brother, William (Bill) Hodges (wife Carol) and their children Drew and Sean Hodges; and other family members Audrey Lindsey, his wife of 41 years, Micah Lindsey (Jenifer), Jodie Johnson, and Megan Dorris.
The family would like to thank the special caregivers for all they did each day to make John feel well taken care of and loved. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home & Crematory, located on Greeno Rd in Fairhope, Alabama, followed by a 1:00 PM graveside celebration of life service at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
