John Edward Brodbeck, Jr. passed away at his home in Fairhope, AL on February 28, 2021. He was born in Mobile, AL on October 10, 1949. He was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, AL and grew up on Mobile Bay in Point Clear. He is survived by his five daughters, Katherine Lalisan (Junior), Carolyn Hudson (Eric), Anne Marye Brodbeck, Abigail Sims (Daniel), Victoria Beyea (Jonathan). He is survived by eleven grandchildren: Luke and Lucy Lalisan; Gabriel, Julian and Violet Hudson; Ariela Brodbeck; Sean, James, Logan and William Sims; Harper Beyea. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Brodbeck Ellis (David), nephews Jonathan Ellis (Page), Matthew Ellis (Molly), niece Emily Richards (Joel), and his special friend, Carol Chandler. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Anna Sims and his parents, John Edward Brodbeck, Sr. and Ruth Ann Sylvest Brodbeck. John dedicated his working career to Kimberly Clark (formerly Scott Paper) for over thirty-five years. John was an outdoor enthusiast who loved the water. He spent many days on the water fishing, shrimping and visiting with his friends at Weeks Bay. When a Jubilee occurred on the Eastern Shore he would load up all of his children in the back of the pickup truck to greet the bounty of fish, crabs and shrimp. All of his daughters learned how to scale and gut a fish at a young age. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and gardening. He was especially proud of his garden and the ability to grow food for his family. He had a soft spot for his grandbabies and his furry grandbabies. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan and never missed a chance to cheer on his team (Roll Tide)!
