John Edwin Bays, Jr.

John Edwin Bays, Jr., 65, a resident of Gulf Shores, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. John was a United States Marine Veteran, owner and operator of Bays Alternators and Starters. He was a pilot and loved to play golf and fish. He was preceded in death by his father, John Edwin Bays, Sr. and his sister, Susan Free. He is survived by his loving wife, Remamae Bays; mother, Teresa Bays of Keithville, LA; sons John E. (Trey) Bays, III of Homer, LA, Mark Allen (Chrissy) Bays of Gonzales, LA, and Matthew Lane Bays of Dallas, TX; two sisters Cathy Smith (Bo) of Keithville, LA, Raynette Dollar (Randy) of Minden, LA; seven grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends, and his dog, Captain.
