John Donald Alms

ALMS ELBERTA, ALABAMA John Donald Alms, age 91 a lifetime resident of Elberta, AL, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. John was a dedicated husband and father,   he was employed with Elberta Co-op for 35 years and was a volunteer Fireman with the city of Elberta. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Alms, brothers; Brownie Alms, Leon Alms, Raymond Alms, Fritz Alms and Babe Alms. He is survived by his three daughters, Elaine (Ernie) Gabel of Elberta, Susan (Bob) Haynes of Foley, Jennifer Alms (Dale Wilson) of Elberta, one son; Tony (Brenda) Alms of Elberta, four grandchildren; Julie, Martin, Bobby, Tina, two great grandchildren; Andrew and John, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of John’s life will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10:30am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Inurnment will follow at St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.
