Jo Cory Hewlett-Rich

FOLEY, AL Jo Cory Hewlett-Rich, age 87, a native and longtime resident of Birmingham and a current resident of Foley, AL, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018. Momma Jo was a registered nurse and the registrar at Shades Cahaba Elementary School for many years. She was an avid golfer at Glenlakes golf course and was an artist. Above all she was a loving mother and a doting grandmother and great grandmother. Jo was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Hewlett and Mike Rich, her sister Ann Cory Harris and brother, Amos “Bub” Cory, Jr. She is survived by herchildren, Leigh Brewer (Bill), Lynda Glass (Jim) and Mark Hewlett (Donna);grandchildren, April Glass Brand (Kevin), Allison Glass Boozer (Eric), Steven Hewlett (Holly Gottfreid), Casey Hewlett Nail (Daniel);nine great granddaughters;brother-in-law, Russell Harris;nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley Chapel, Monday, July 9, 2018, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Graveside services and interment will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 2:00pm, in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.
