Jimmy Young Barton

BARTON GULF SHORES, ALABAMA Jimmy Young Barton, age 88, a native of Summerville, GA, former longtime resident of Birmingham, AL, and a resident of Gulf Shores, AL, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021. Jimmy was a member of Lagoon Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge and Zamora Shriners for over 50 years and he was a Veteran in the United States Air Force. Preceded in death by his father, mother, nine siblings and two step-children. He is survived by his wife; Carolyn B. Barton of Gulf Shores; daughter, Kristal (Robert) Salter of Castleberry, stepdaughters; Tina (John) Baran of Seaside, FL, Nancy (Keith) Heaton of Springville, AL, son; Jimmy (Melanie) Barton of Mt. Ulla, NC; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held from Lagoon Baptist Church, Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2:00pm.
