Jesse "Mawmaw" Lowe-Booth

Jesse "Mawmaw" Lowe-Booth, 64, passed away on January 14, 2025, in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Born on April 1, 1960, in Chickasaw, AL, Jesse was a woman whose kindness knew no bounds. She had a heart that embraced everyone she met and a generosity that often extended beyond her own well-being.

Jesse was followed in death ten days later by her beloved husband of twenty years, George "Sammy" Giles. She is survived by her son, Daniel Booth; granddaughter, Desiree Booth; grandson, Carter Booth; sisters Joana Nelson and Brenda Perry; and her best friend Diane. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and countless others who were drawn to her warmth and spirit. Jesse was preceded in death by her mother, Frances "Big Granny" Shirley.

Her final days were filled with love and warmth, surrounded by friends and family who cherished her deeply. Those who sat by her side in those moments provided comfort beyond measure, and for that, her family is eternally grateful.

A memorial gathering will be held on March 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Stapleton Memorial Garden on Hwy 31 in Stapleton, Alabama with the possibility of a gathering afterwards to share stories and memories. Attendees are encouraged to wear something comfortable and come ready to share happy stories and laughter—just as Jesse would have wanted. Sunflowers and yellow roses were her favorite flowers for those who wish to honor her memory in this way.

Jesse’s kindness and selflessness will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her
