Jerry Lynn Morrow

Jerry Lynn Morrow, age 76, resident of Loxley, AL, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Fellis Franklin Morrow and Elma Dorough Morrow; brother, Floyd Morrow; nephew, Fellis Allen Morrow. Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sadie Dale Morrow; daughters Helen (Jason) Taylor, Anna (Michael) Hardy; three grandchildren: Catherine Elizabeth Taylor, Samuel Jason Taylor, and Stella Mae Hardy; brothers Benjamin Morrow and Marion Morrow; sisters Jane Morrow, Jeanette Aldridge, and Sue Sellers, and sister- in- law Margorie Morrow, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Jerry lived for 18 years with metastatic prostate cancer before suffering a setback in January 2020. Fun-loving and kind, he dedicated his life to family and hard work. Over the years there were several friends who became family in their own way. The family would like to thank Marion and Diane Holloway, Raymond and Cheryl Donald, Danny and ReVonda Phillips, Sonny and Marilyn Adkison, and Terry and Laura Reeves for your friendship. Jerry was born and raised in Coffee County, proud of his upbringing on the farm his family owns. Jerry went on to graduate from Troy University with a degree in Economics, joined the Army Reserves, then later RJ Reynolds. RJ Reynolds took him to Mississippi where he met Sadie. Together they moved to Arkansas where they started their family. After many years away, Sadie and Jerry moved to Dothan, Alabama, where he joined his brother in real estate before beginning a career with Terminix – Bruce Allied. He moved to Daphne where he rose to Regional Manager, moving his family to Montgomery and eventually, Mobile, where he was named Vice President of Operations and served as the President of the Alabama State Pest Control Association. After leaving Terminix in 2006, Jerry soon started a pest control business, Centsible Pest Control. He enjoyed working leads, negotiating contracts, but most importantly, befriending his customers. Protecting loved ones from the Covid virus was particularly important to Jerry in his final months. To honor his wishes, graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Jubilee Memorial Gardens at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Baldwin Animal Shelter, Bay Minette, AL or American Cancer Society.
