Jeramie Michael Childress, 43, a resident of Gulf Shores was called home by our heavenly father, to get the eternal party started, on Sunday, August 15, 2021. A native of Mobile, Alabama. He graduated from W.P. Davidson High School in 1997. Immediately, upon graduation Jeramie began his career in the U.S. Army. His 20 year career included 4 overseas tours during which he proudly served our country and protected the freedoms we have. Jeramie earned the rank of Sergeant First Class and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; NATO Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Bronze Star Medal; Good Conduct Medal. Jeramie spent the past 6 years in retirement enjoying life to the fullest with his family and friends. Jeramie loved Alabama football, supporting his “Dolphin” family and spending time at the beach. You could always hear a Roll Tide when Alabama was playing. Jeramie was a selfless hero who never met a stranger and would protect you without blinking an eye. His smile was contagious and he loved everyone. He was a man of many stories and his tattoos told them. If you had the honor of knowing Jeramie and asked his about his tattoos he would be proud to tell you the meaning behind each and every one.
