Jamie McPhillips Wright

Jamie McPhillips Wright of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on June 11, 2024. 

Jamie was born on March 11, 1941, in Gulfport, Mississippi to James (Jamo) McPhillips and Elizabeth Roberts McPhillips. She attended Bishop-Toolen High School for Girls and Mount Vernon College in Washington D.C.

Jamie was a member of Maids of Mirth Mardi Gras Association and participated in the Junior League of Mobile. She loved playing tennis with her favorite ladies, enjoyed her many events with the BBG’s and was passionate about Alabama football. She especially loved traveling with Ham and her sister, Mary Jo.  Jamie was devoted to her church and enjoyed attending mission trips in Rwanda and Israel.  

In addition to her parents, Jamie was preceded in death by her husband, Ham, daughter Felicia Fairchild and her sister, Mary Jo Serda.

Jamie is survived by her three children, Laura Wright, Mark Wright (Leslie), Jay Wright (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Morgan Chrisom, Emily Wright, Jarrett Wright, Will Wright, Tyler Wright and her great grandchild, Jack Chrisom.

The family would like to express our love and gratitude to Yolanda Johnson for her extraordinary care, love and devotion to Jamie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Church of the Apostles in Fairhope at 11:00 a.m.  Reception will follow the service at the home of Mark and Leslie Wright, 305 Cameron Court, Daphne, Alabama.
