Jamie L. Darring

Mrs. Jamie L Darring, age 88, a resident of Fairhope, AL., passed away Tuesday February 2nd, 2021. Mrs. Jamie was a long-time resident of Fairhope; the very definition of a Southern Lady, she was born in Georgiana, AL., in 1932. Mrs. Darring, affectionately known as “Momma”, “Nana” and “Jamie D” had an adventurist spirit, who’s lifetime hobbies included gardening, fishing, traveling and most of all shopping. Mrs. Darring loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. Full of sass and class, Momma will surely continue to “look” over us all, and most assuredly, keep us in line. Mrs. Darring is survived by her children: Cynthia D. Bottomley and husband Jim of Wilmer, AL, Celia McJenkins and husband Don of Millbrook, AL, and Albert J. Darring Jr. and wife Sherri of Loxley, AL; grandchildren: Sara Quayle, Jessie M. Brantley, Denise McJenkins, Katie Spratlin, Jonathan Brantley, Leighann McJenkins, Samantha Walley, Mason Darring; eleven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Jamie now joins her eternal husband Albert Joseph Darring and her grandson, Jeremy Brantley. Graveside Services will be held Monday, February 8, 2021, at 10:00am at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
