James Bruce THOMASON

THOMASONDAPHNE, ALABAMA James Bruce Thomason, Age 66, a native of Fayette, Alabama and a resident of Daphne, AL passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. Mr. Thomason was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a  member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. As a civil engineer, he worked for the Alabama Department of Transportation and Volkert, Inc.He is preceded in death by his father, Cleveland Thomason. Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years,  Karen Thomason of Daphne, AL; three sons, Matt ( Elizabeth) Thomason of Daphne, AL, Will Thomason of Bon Secour, AL and Alex Thomason of Daphne, AL; two grandchildren, Anna and Paul; one sister, Eva Jane( Scott) Miller of Northport, AL; his mother, Louise Thomason of Bankston, AL; other relatives and many friends. A Celebration of Mr. Thomason’s Life will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Daphne.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00am until time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church building fund.
