James Murrell Orr III

James Murrell Orr III, 46 years old, a native of Bastrop, LA and a resident of Portland, OR, and recently, Mobile, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, after a brief illness. James, “Trey”, was born March 2, 1977, to James M. Orr, Jr. and Michelle McGeever Orr. He was graduated from Fairhope High School, attended Auburn University, and was graduated from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Trey loved surfing and hiking in the Pacific waters and mountains of Oregon. He was also a self-taught gourmet cook and enjoyed experimenting with various tastes and spices, the hotter the better. Louisiana foods were his favorite. Trey also enjoyed special holiday celebrations and viewing L.S.U. Football games with his family at the Orr River House. Trey was an avid reader and lover of science fiction. Trey is survived by his mother and father, Michelle and James M. Orr, Jr., of Fairhope; sisters, Erin Orr Ragsdale (Jonathan) of Summerdale, AL, and Dr. Elizabeth Maureen Orr (Jon, fiancé) of Fairhope, AL. ; aunts and uncles, Phyllis and David Orr, of MO, Maureen Krison, of Fairhope, AL, Dolly and Michael McGeever of Thibodaux, LA, Lee Burford, of Monroe, LA , and many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
